“Do everything without kvetching or arguing.” — Philippians 2:14 (CJB)
Step 1 of 90%
How This Works
Below are 28 statements — 4 for each of the 7 root causes of chronic complaining. Read each one. Don’t overthink it. Go with your gut.
Score each statement on a scale of 1 to 5:
1 = That’s not me at all
2 = That’s rarely me
3 = That’s sometimes me
4 = That’s often me
5 = That is absolutely me
There are no right or wrong answers. The more honest you are, the more useful this becomes. No one else needs to see this.

Your Results
Here is your ranking from highest to lowest. Your highest score is the place to start.
What Your Score Means
17–20 → This root cause is running your complaint pattern. This is your starting point. Fix this first.
13–16 → Active and contributing. Work on this after your top cause.
9–12 → Present but not the main driver. Revisit later.
5–8 → Minimal hold on you right now.
4 or below → Not currently a significant factor for you.
Your Starting Point
You do not work through all 7 root causes in order. You start with your highest score. That is the one doing the most damage right now — and where you will feel the change the fastest.
Go to that root cause. Do the elimination step. Do the adoption step. Live with it for two to three weeks before moving to your second-ranked root cause.
This is not a checklist. It is a sequence built specifically for you.
